FAQs for Applicants
Our work placements are unpaid, but will prove to be invaluable in opening doors for your future. The exposure and reward you will gain from this experience will last for a lifetime!
The duration of the work placement highly depends on the industry you want to work in, as well as your study and funding requirements. It can vary from a minimum of 3 weeks to 9 months, or longer.
The working hours usually range between 30-40 hours per week. However, this might vary depending on the requirements from your sending organisation and/or your personal preference. If you have a specific amount of hours per week you need to adhere to, please let us know when you submit your application.
While this is not a requirement for most companies, certain industries (especially hospitality), would need more help during the weekends. If you would like to work only during weekdays, or require particular days off, kindly advise us of this beforehand so we can discuss it with the host company.
In some cases, the host companies might request to have an interview with you via videocall in order to get to know you more and gauge your suitability for the role. When this happens, we will guide and provide you with the necessary information about the company to help you feel prepared.
